The LAMG’s last trip to the Santa Fe Botanical Garden was in July of 2017, when the gardens were relatively new. We saw quite a change on this year’s trip. Plants and trees were more mature, offering shade and lush groupings. And many new plants have been added to fill in the groupings and along the paths. Like our Demo Garden, they have some categorization to their groupings with a cacti section, natives, common local plants (though not necessarily native), etc. Our docent, Ken, has been volunteering at the garden since its opening, and was a wealth of information and stories. The rotating sculpture show was a bonus, with samples from 3 artists located along the trails.
